What was the highlight of Langkapuri Resort Langkawi
Go for location, run for amenities
1. The location is as prime as it could get. Located in the heart of pentai cenang, this property is right in the heart (quite literally!!) of the street market. 2. The room was BIG. I had booked a double room, and the room had space for another double bed and maybe a sofa too. It really was HUGE! 3. Unlimited supplies The staff was kind and provided with unlimited water and bath amenities whenever needed.
1. The bathroom was tiny. In every sense the bathroom was SUPER SMALL! Like you couldn't close the door while seated on toilet because it would hurt your knee. When you'd shower, the WHOLE bathroom was wet (also meaning there was no shower curtain). 2. The location information is inaccurate. It says that the hotel is beach front, but it is not. There is construction (read small rooms and shops) in front of the hotel, and unless you clearly book a room w balcony AND are on high floors, there's no way you can see the sea. Not that it mattered to me, but if this is something you want to check off, dont take this one. 3. The room doesn't come with chairs. After being a full time traveler for over 6 years now, I'm used to seeing hotel rooms with chairs and seating system. However, this room, in spite of being a VERY spacious one, didn't have chairs. I was sitting on the bed table for most of the sitting time (other times I was on bed). It kinda makes sense that you'd rather be on the beach than in the room, but if you land in the city on a particularly rainy day as I did, you need a chair set to relax and unwind (which I was kept away from). 4. The bath amenities were as poor as it could get. For a hotel where you pay a decent amount and is at a prime location, the quality of bath amenities was really terrible. I would recommend you to carry your own prods unless your skin comes w an armour cover! 5. Sustainability, what's that? The bath amenities were 5ml each, and water was given in 100ml bottles - all plastic. Not that this hotel boasted a sustainable case, but if this makes you uncomfortable, then this place isn't for you. I am used to carrying my bottle everywhere, but there was no place to refill the water and they just kept giving more and more small bottles. 6. Curtains were not curtaining!

The connectivity and location of the hotel is great, malls are close by, restaurants are right outside and a bar (the yellow beach) is connected to the hotel
The staff are just so-so and the housekeeping is inconsistent

What was the highlight of Langkapuri Resort Langkawi
Excellent location and good value for money
The breakfast was nice most days. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services were good. The WiFi worked well on days where there was no rain, but didn't work well when it rained. The location is excellent. You are a few seconds walk away from the beach and a minute from lots of restaurants and shops.
A few issues with the room, such as leaky pipes and a noisy electric box. Breakfasts were mostly good, but there was definitely a lack of different protein available.
